1. Introduction
PrestaBack ("we", "our", "the Application") is a desktop application for managing PrestaShop back offices, available on macOS and Windows. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use PrestaBack.

2. Data We Collect
PrestaBack is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the service:
a) License & Account Data
- Email address (provided during license purchase)
- License key
- Machine identifier (for activation management, limited to 3 computers)
b) PrestaShop Connection Data
- Server URLs, API keys, and database credentials you configure to connect to your PrestaShop stores
- This data is stored locally on your computer only and is never transmitted to our servers
c) Store Data
- Product, category, order, and customer data synchronized from your PrestaShop stores
- This data is cached locally on your computer in a SQLite database for offline use and performance
- This data is never sent to our servers — it travels only between your computer and your own PrestaShop store
d) Payment Data
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card information
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not use cookies on our website (analytical or advertising)
- We do not collect usage analytics or telemetry from the desktop application
- We do not track your browsing behavior
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
4. How We Use Your Data
- License validation: Your email and license key are used to verify your license and manage activations
- Communication: Your email may be used to send you the license key, invoices, and critical product updates (no marketing emails)
- Application functionality: Your PrestaShop connection data is used solely by the application on your local machine to connect to your stores
5. Data Storage & Security
- Local data (store credentials, cached store data) is stored on your computer and never leaves your machine except to communicate directly with your PrestaShop servers
- License data is stored on our servers hosted by Scaleway SAS (Paris, France), within the European Union
- All communications between the application and our license server use HTTPS encryption
- Database credentials you enter are stored locally and are not accessible to us
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy
- Scaleway — Server hosting (EU-based). Subject to Scaleway's Privacy Policy
7. Data Retention
- License and account data is retained for as long as your license is active
- Local data can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing its data folder
- Invoices are retained as required by French tax law
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate personal data
- Delete your personal data
- Restrict processing of your personal data
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured format

PrestaBack is a professional business tool and is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
